Safety Guidelines

Your safety is our top priority. Always.

SupportCrush is NOT a dating app

It's a professional support-matching platform for NDIS participants and providers. Any use of the platform for personal, romantic, or inappropriate purposes is investigated. The account may be suspended immediately and permanently removed following review.

SupportCrush is a directory, not a service provider

We list providers and give you a way to contact them. We do not employ support workers, we do not process NDIS payments, and we are not involved in the delivery of your supports. The support relationship is between you and the provider directly. If you have a complaint about the service you received, contact the provider or the NDIS Commission on 1800 035 544. If you have a safety concern about a provider on our platform, you can report them to us and we will investigate.

Safety Tips

🏠

Don't share your home address

Keep your location to suburb until you feel safe and comfortable with a provider.

💬

Keep communication in the app

There's a record of everything here. Moving to external platforms removes your protection.

🤝

Meet in public first

For your first meeting, choose a public place. It's normal, sensible, and totally encouraged.

📞

Tell someone where you're going

Let a trusted person know about your first appointments with new providers.

🚩

Trust your gut

If something feels off, it probably is. You can block and report anyone at any time, no questions asked.

🔒

Compliance-checked providers

Every provider on SupportCrush must submit valid compliance documents, including ABN, worker screening, insurance, and first aid certificates, before they appear in search results.

Our Safety Systems

  • Mandatory compliance: every provider must submit valid ABN, worker screening, insurance, first aid, and identity documents before listing
  • Automated compliance expiry monitoring with 90-day, 60-day and 30-day renewal reminders
  • Automatic listing suspension when compliance documents expire
  • No strike system: every report is assessed individually on its own risk and evidence
  • No routine or automated monitoring of private messages: conversation evidence is accessed only when a conversation is reported, and that access is restricted, justified and logged
  • Urgent safety reports are acknowledged within 24 hours and assigned to a human reviewer
  • Weekly human-led screening of the NDIS Commission banned workers register
  • Participant anonymity: you are initials until you choose otherwise
  • Location privacy: suburb only, no address sharing via the platform

Emergency

If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For urgent non-emergency support, contact the NDIS Commission on 1800 035 544.
