NDIS Compliance & Safeguards

How SupportCrush keeps participants safe and what our role is, and isn't.

Platform Directory Notice

SupportCrush is an independent directory and marketplace. We are not an employer, a care agency, or an NDIS-registered provider. We do not employ, contract, or directly engage any support worker or provider listed on this platform. We list providers and give participants and coordinators a way to contact them. The service relationship is between the participant and the provider directly. SupportCrush is not a party to any agreement, does not process NDIS payments, and is not involved in the delivery of supports.

What SupportCrush is, and isn't

SupportCrush is a digital directory that connects NDIS participants and support coordinators with independent support workers and providers. We are not an employer or care agency. We do not:

  • Employ, contract, or directly engage any support worker or provider
  • Process NDIS payments or handle plan management
  • Deliver, supervise, or guarantee any support service
  • Endorse or guarantee any individual provider or service

The support relationship is directly between the participant and the provider. We provide the matching and contact tools only.

Mandatory compliance for providers

Every provider on SupportCrush must submit valid compliance documents before they appear in search results. Required documents include:

  • ABN (Australian Business Number)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC), where applicable
  • Public liability and professional indemnity insurance
  • Identity verification
  • Relevant qualifications and first aid certification

Compliance documents are reviewed by our team and have their expiry dates tracked automatically.

Automated expiry monitoring

SupportCrush automatically tracks the expiry dates of provider compliance documents. Providers receive reminders approximately 90, 60 and 30 days before expiry via in-app notification and email. When a document expires, the provider's listing is automatically suspended from search results until a renewed document is uploaded and approved.

Verified badges explained

A "Verified" badge means the worker has completed SupportCrush verification: their compliance documents were manually reviewed and their expiry is monitored. SupportCrush validates documents but does not endorse or guarantee individual services. Participants are encouraged to conduct their own checks and ask providers for current copies of their clearances before commencing services.

Verification is required before a worker profile can go live on the platform, on all paid plans including during a free trial, and is included in the provider's subscription at no extra cost. Incomplete, expired, unreadable or unacceptable documents must be corrected before the profile goes live.

Incident reporting & complaints

If you have a safety concern about a provider, you can report them directly from their profile or from within a chat conversation. Safety/Abuse reports are treated as urgent, are acknowledged within 24 hours, and may result in the provider being suspended pending review by our safety team. All other reports are logged and reviewed by our team.

If you have a complaint about the service you received, contact the provider directly or the NDIS Commission on 1800 035 544. If you are in immediate danger, call 000.

Participant privacy

Participant contact information (email, phone) is never shown in search listings or provider profiles. Initial contact is only possible through in-app messaging, initiated by the participant or their support coordinator. Participants choose when and whether to share their personal contact details with a provider.
